Michael B. Tulchinsky
Michael B. Tulchinsky is a business lawyer and a Certified Public Accountant who concentrates his practice in the areas of affordable housing law, taxation and complex real estate transactions.
Since 2011, Mr. Tulchinsky has represented a major syndicator with respect to the acquisition of interests in low-income housing tax credit properties. Mr. Tulchinsky provides advice on the structuring of affordable housing transactions, including negotiation and drafting of partnership agreements and operating agreements, negotiation of commercial and governmental agency loans, and drafting of contracts, security agreements and guaranty agreements. Mr. Tulchinsky provides tax analysis related to the low-income housing tax credit and state tax credits, advice related to tax-exempt bond financed transactions and assistance with structuring of multi-phase developments.
Mr. Tulchinsky graduated cum laude from Wayne State University Law School in 2010. Mr. Tulchinsky received his undergraduate degree of Bachelor of the Arts in economics from Kalamazoo College in 2001 and his Masters of Science in Accounting from Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois in 2006.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Tulchinsky worked at KPMG as a Senior Associate in the international tax practice where his primary responsibilities included tax research and consulting, and tax compliance. Prior to law school, Mr. Tulchinsky worked at KPMG as an Associate in the federal tax practice where his primary responsibility was tax compliance.
Mr. Tulchinsky was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2010 and was licensed by the State of Michigan as a Certified Public Accountant in 2009. Mr. Tulchinsky is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
